InfraRed Lasers (1064nm)
The Rigel 1064nm Series is a family of Q-switched DPSS Lasers delivering high average powers up to 3.2 kW unpolarised light at a wavelength of 1064nm. With a well proven rugged head design, state of the art control and power supply architecture, simple synchronisation with OEM equipment and process lines makes this platform ideally suited to high volume industrial applications. The Powerlase Rigel series ranges from 800 W to 3.2 kW in output power and accordingly delivers pulse energies ranging from 40 mJ to 240 mJ in the largest system, which can be doubled up for a combined pulse coming from two cavities. The acousto-optically Q-switches, diode pumped Nd:YAG laser systems are all designed for high volume 24/7 manufacturing environments.

The Vulcan family of laser cleaning systems offer rapid a paint and coating removal system. The fastest of which a 1.6 kW Q-switched DPSS laser, fiber delivered to a galvanometer based, ergonomic, hand-held, compact scan head. With the proven reliability and high pulse energy of Rigel, Vulcan offers simplified control systems and simple synchronization that will deliver faster processing and unlock the highest potential of laser based paint, coating removal and surface preparation. For compact a solution, the Vulcan is available in a 500W pulsed fiber variant, with an integrated cooling system, and convenient single phase power requirement – all in a portable cart which can be powered off a portable generator.

The Centauri family of lasers performs in specialty applications where the high peak power is necessary and offers the reliability inherent of fiber lasers. Centauri adds further value to industrial applications by way of its flexible AgileTune™ seed technology which allows the laser output parameters to be tailored to specific applications, optimizing quality and throughput. The new Centauri platform has been expressly designed to fully address the requirements for fast processing at power levels between 500W and 1200W, while still offering high peak power and pulse energy suitable for coating and paint removal, mold cleaning, surface pre-treatment, weld preparation and restoration.
