Powerlase Photonics Ltd appoints new Managing Director

Powerlase Photonics Ltd, manufacturers of the world’s most powerful nanosecond Q-switched, diode-pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers, has strengthened its senior management in preparation of continued growth.
The appointment paves the way for its planned expansion between 2011 and 2013 as Dr. Young Kwon takes up a position as Managing Director.
Dr. Kwon will take charge of Powerlase Photonics from June 2011, heading a team tasked with immediate short term growth as well as strategic laser and product development. The team’s activities are pivotal to the continued development of the Powerlase Photonics laser product range and the company’s expansion in the Europe; US and Asian marketplaces.
Commenting on his new position, Dr. Kwon says, “The position of Managing Director will provide a challenging and rewarding role. It is a very exciting time to be working at Powerlase Photonics and I’m looking forward to using my experience to further Powerlase Photonics expansion.”
